Africa Travel Guide - All About Africa

Few places in the world inspire as much wonder, mystery and adventure as the African continent. From its northernmost tip in Tunisia to its southernmost point in South Africa lies 5,000 miles of desert, swamp, savanna plains and dense forest.

Teeming with wild animals, Africa is the home of safari adventures. You can venture out into vast wildlife and game reserves to see lions, giraffes, elephants and zebras in their native environments. Big game hunting has given way to photo safaris, where visitors "shoot" their targets with cameras.

Many African countries also make ideal destinations for a beach holiday. The continent is surrounded by the Indian Ocean to the southeast, the Atlantic Ocean to the west, the Mediterranean Sea to the north and the Suez Canal and Red Sea to the northeast.

Most major international air carriers fly to Africa. Once there, smaller regional airlines and train travel are popular ways of getting from A to B.
