Grenada Travel Guide - All About Grenada

Take a vacation from your vacation by catching the ferry to Carriacou island

The tiny "spice island" of Grenada is located in the Windward Islands in the eastern Caribbean.

Measuring just 22 miles by 12 miles, Grenada enjoys a tropical climate and is an idyllic year-round holiday destination.

Grenada is characterized by its valleys, rainforests, streams, rivers, mountains, lakes and hot springs. There are also over 40 beautiful beaches on the island which offer great opportunities for water sports such as swimming, snorkeling, diving and sailing.

A national park is situated in the heart of the island and is an ideal spot for hiking.

Travelers wishing to tour the island's sights should start in St George's - the capital - where buses strike out to other destinations around the small island. Grenada is relatively undeveloped yet holidaymakers can opt to stay in boutique hotels and small luxurious resorts.

English is the official language and the currency is the East Caribbean dollar. Grenada is accessible to travelers, with regular flights to Port Salines International Airport.
