Mayan women in Antigua Guatemala

Guatemala has emerged from the shackles of conflict and war to become a wonderful travel destination.

Some of the most spectacular Mayan ruins are located in Guatemala. In fact, there are still thriving Mayan communities today which are welcome to visitors.

In some of the dormant volcanoes it is possible to hike up into the crater and even spend the night there.
