You may encounter a gazelle leaping over your car, a rhinoceros thundering along a gully, an ostrich trotting like a frightened chorus girl, or the real highlight - a herd (sometimes called a memory) of elephants, with adults at the front and rear to protect the young ambling down to a riverbank as the sun sets - majestic and incredibly moving.
