Nha Trang's stunning palm tree-fringed beach

Located on Vietnam's south-central coast, Nha Trang is one of the country's liveliest beach resorts. Its crowning glory is a six-kilometre stretch of sandy beach fringed by palm trees.

Nha Trang's landmark - a statue of a white Buddha seated in cross-legged bliss - looms over the town from a hillside above Long Son Pagoda.

The seafood restaurants in Nha Trang are among the best in the country.

Nha Trang makes a good jumping off point for day trips to offshore islands, many of which offer good snorkelling and diving opportunities. Note that during the rainy season (November and December) the usually crystal clear water turns a dirty brown due to run-off from rivers.
