Hunt big game

It costs around US$4,000 to bag a lion in Tanzania

Whatever your feelings for the poor animals that meet their maker at the end of a gun, or the people involved in the bloodthirsty sport, there is no denying that the immense value of revenues derived from foreign hunters to both Tanzania and local communities.

They're so valuable that this limited resource is strictly and sustainably controlled by government quotas. It is one of the few ways in which some reserves, like the immense Selous National Park, are made economically viable and helped justified in their protection.

Certainly if hunting is your thing, you are in for the experience of a lifetime since the number of trophies available is immense and varied, including everything from warthogs and buffalo to lions and leopards.

Yet everything has it's price and at USD$4,000 for a lion or $8,000 for an elephant, it's definitely a sport for the rich.
